Word: How to Create an Annotated Bibliography

hey guys this is GFX dude from tech recipes calm and today I’m going to be showing you how to make an annotated bibliography and Microsoft Word it’s the first off I’ve I’ve got my bibliography over here pre-made so I can show you with the final product it’s going to be and what I’m making the first step I take is to go ahead and number the pages so we’re gonna come up to insert I’m gonna choose page number and hover over top of page and we’re gonna choose point number three and you said my cursor is flashing in front of the page of one up here I’m gonna type my last name and either double click outside of the header or choose close header and footer the next step is to type your first name and last name I’m going to type your professors name your subject and the date so today’s date is 30th March 2011 and right now I want you to push ctrl a and we’re gonna go ahead and format the base of this we’re gonna set it to make maximize this I’m gonna choose no spacing 12-point font and make sure it’s left aligned so go ahead and press ENTER and we’re gonna top our title and now we’re ready to start putting in our sources I’m just going to cop him from this one I’m using MLA format for this so that I would type in my first MLA source and then hit enter and here you’re gonna type your annotation annotations are they’re just different for her teacher Mountain requires three to seven sentences not averaged about seven in this paper so let me go ahead and copy this annotation in missed it and you would go ahead and do the rest of your annotations I’m just gonna do one or two here for demonstration purposes so copy paste down that altogether copy and paste and once you’ve got all your sources in you’re ready to format this so once you’ve got them all pressure control a we’re gonna come up here on the Home tab in the line and paragraph spacing to click this get a two point uh we’re gonna highlight our title gonna sear it and then on the sources you’re going to highlight them and I’ll go ahead and highlight both them go right click inside the highlighted area I want a paragraph and we need to set a hanging indent on these so on indentation under special will go with hanging and make sure it’s five point five and just double-check your line spacing is that double and we’ll click OK then next we’re going to highlight the actual annotation and on those we’re gonna go up here to our home tab and we’re going to choose increase indent and what that does is as you can see increases it to a point five in debt on the sides and one thing not to forget is this is a paper this is still normal grammar rules so we’re going to tab the first sentence in each paragraph or each annotation and there we have it I’ve successfully formatted this paper to be an MLA format for an annotated bibliography so guys this has been GFX — from tech recipes.com and thanks for watching
